Born of many conversations and musical collaborations across the United States and abroad, Cor Mundi was founded as an arts organization devoted to presenting high-level performances and recordings of sacred music—in the heart of the world.
Cor Mundi’s inaugural project took root in Poland, where composer Daniel Knaggs established the professional choir Ensemble Invocatio as the organization’s ensemble-in-residence. The group draws its singers from across Poland and has performed in concerts and festivals in Bydgoszcz, Warsaw, and Toruń.
Still in its early stages, Cor Mundi became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in January 2024. Through a wide range of musical offerings, Cor Mundi seeks to sow seeds of mercy, healing, and reconciliation in our time—through shared encounters with beauty that transcends.
A major new step is on the horizon: the debut of the newly formed, Houston-based Cor Mundi Chamber Choir will open Cor Mundi’s Inaugural Season (2025-26) season in August 2025.
