On May 23 and 24, 2025 Cor Mundi presents This Side of Heaven, a captivating exploration of music by Puccini, Verdi, and Knaggs, showcasing the drama and beauty of the sacred in unexpected ways. Experience an unforgettable evening where renowned masterpieces intertwine with rare gems to illuminate the profound mysteries of life, death, and what lies beyond.
The program weaves together evocative works like Puccini’s Morire? and Salve Regina, Verdi’s Ad una stella and Confutatis Maledictis (Requiem) and Knaggs’s Alla luna and Ave Maria No. 20 (newly arranged). Outstanding singers Caitlin Aloia, Demetrious Sampson, and Kellen Schrimper combine with both Lyndsi Maus and Daniel Knaggs at the piano in this concert journeying from "this side of heaven" to beyond.
